biography

Patricia Zarate was born in Cali, Colombia and grew up in New York City. Zarate received a Master of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York. Her work has been exhibited at El Museo del Barrio, The Queens Museum, and other art galleries in New York City, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, as well as internationally in Bogota, Colombia, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Gwangju, South Korea.

Zarate received an Individual Artist Support Grant from the Queens Council on the Arts. Her work has been reviewed in ArtNexus, Art News, Newsday, and the Philadelphia Weekly.
